On today’s Daily Rundown Rev. Jesse Jackson said President Obama's decision on same-sex marriage should not be a state issue, but a federal issue.
“Ultimately one must not have fifty states stepping on equal systems and civil rights. You ultimately must have an even playing field and one set of rules,” Rev. Jackson said on the Daily Rundown.
The Reverend went on to say the President took a daring step in his stance on same-sex marriage, but that there was still another step to be taken.
“Given the culture, he took a bold step, but there’s another step to be taken,” Jackson said of the President.
The Reverend Jesse Jackson is founder and President of the Rainbow-PUSH Coalition, a multi-racial, multi-issue organization which fights for social change.

Rev Jesse Jackson WTF Are You Doing ? Gay Marriage Really ? You Are a Pastor Really Your God Doesn't mind a Man Having Sex with a Man Or Woman Have Sex with a Woman Do you Remember Your BIBLE? And You try to Compare the rights of African American is not the same as a man @!$%#ing a man you was born BLACK Not GAY You Couldn't eat a counter tops or use bathroom because you are black WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU WAKE UP !!!!
Mr. Sutton Gay people are born that way, Jesus said nothing about being gay and if you judge someone for being different than you then you are a bigot and behaving in an unchristian manner.
Bryan, just a little Bible for now, 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. If you have given a person your message of Salvation and they reject/defer it/have their own, then what right do you have to attempt to crowd them out of this democracy with your message?
Consider this: You have to allow others to find their own way to God.... Afterall, is it your civil right to judge another's servant?
It has been proven that there is no "gay gene"...those who propose it and lie about it, do so, because without that premise there are no "gay rights"...marriage is a Sacrament of God, not of humans...Christian marriage protects children and engenders and promotes western culture...pagans don't know what marriage is, so, to them, it can be a harem, or any variety of polygamous unions and any variety of sexes...I include Mormons among these pagans...the reason Mormons cannot poligamize at will any more, is because our laws are based on the Ten Commandments of God and we Americans[a 95% Christian nation]will not permit it...Jesse Jackson is a Mason and, as such, is of the Devil, so this does not surprise me...Oh, just one more thing: GAYS ARE ONLY 1.4% of our population and, since they cannot procreate, have taken to corrupting our children in the educational system with their lies...Whatever happened to the decent gays who used to mind their own business?
Your theme: Christianity. What does Christianity teach you about love, and about not judging another's servant? If you are going judge -do so fairly - because with the same measure you will be.
Marriage is a sacrament of the Church and is licensed by the State with legal rights following the action itself. So then, our government acts civilly towards marriage. At the federal level, due to the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), our civil government is withholding citizen rights from a select group of legal citizens while the term, "marriage" is being argued in the country. This is legally and [posssibly] morally wrong: I respectfully add the State is not a religious entity to which the citizenry can "prostrate", "genuflect", "holy kiss", "kiss the ring", "wail before...", or "pray". This is a fact, so recognize the differences as citizens are having their rights denied while you think it through.
One more thing: DOMA assists in making this a "federal issue".
I feel sorry for those who are threaten by the concept of same sex marriage for they truly do not know the love of God. Jesus NEVER condemn homosexually. It is the weakest who are scared. Those who know God's love do not fear homosexually or same sex marriage and accepted it as God accepts all his children.
The "situation" for the Church is even more distressing.
I do not expect Christians to not act on what is "gospel" for them. And until a Church becomes convinced of same sex marriage acceptance as being appropriately approved in the Bible, that organization should not support such.
However, this is when the love element comes into plain view. The Church is never allowed to act un-lovely. The Church is never permitted to leave its private worship so as to wield a pesecution "club" against other citizens in the public square! Such behavior is not Christ-like, he who actively teaches those who are His to 'keep peace with all - as much as it lies within you.' (NASB Romans 12: 18.)
Christians are not to get so entangled with this world (political agendas and "action committees") that they join forces in attempting to oppress other law-abiding citizens or groups.
