Congress has been at a stalemate for months over budget concerns. With no resolution in sight, one group of lawmakers is hitting Congress where it hurts, right in the wallet. Rep. Jim Cooper (D-TN) and Rep. Reid Ribble (R-WI) joined Luke today to give the particulars on the “Fix Congress Now” initiative.
Just a few weeks ago, Rep. Riggle gave Washington a look into what he and his constituents hope to accomplish with this caucus.
But will this group really make a difference? Politico’s Kate Nocera discusses “Fix Congress Now” and the “No Budget, No Pay” bill.

I have been saying this for weeks. Especially after a trip to Washington DC recently. These guys have a good salary, lots of perks, the ability to give themselves a pay raise, a pension for life, even if they are there for two years and a health care plan most Americans could only dream about, yet they spend more time fighting with each other than actually doing the work of governing. Anyone remember governing? That meant things like a budget, a transportation bill, an infrastructure bill..immigration reform. They are pathetic excuses for a Congress. Maybe we should lock them in a basement together and not let them come out until some sanity surfaces instead of the self serving bs we see on tv every night. They have stopped being representatives and governing, and instead have become bitchy little junior high girls who spend most of the time believing their own press. GOOD for the two guys on the show this morning for their efforts!!!!
