The two top spokesmen for the parties go toe-to-toe over Gov. Romney’s ties to Bain Capital, his tax returns, President Obama’s job record, and more. With two guys this deep into opposing sides of the campaign, there’s bound to be fireworks. So sit back, relax, and get your popcorn ready!
Every year, the DNC and RNC face off in a softball game, and a little wagering ensues. The GOP triumphed and Woodhouse lost the bet. NBC’s own Kelly O’Donnell seems to be pretty amused by the outcome.

I enjoyed the political discussion on Morning Joe today. It was intelligent, thoughtful, and presented opposing political opinions. Then I watched Luke ask similar questions to this pair. There is a discrepancy regarding the time that Gov. Romney lead Bain Capital. Was it 1999 or 2002, when his name no longer appeared in the SEC filings? Fair question and there are conflicting statements from the Romney camp. Then Mr. Spicer started screaming; asking why the President was outsourcing debt to China (way off topic and a nonsensical question) what about the fast and furious dispute (what?) etc..... I cringed and turned it off.
If Gov. Romney wants to be elected based on his private sector job creation experience, why can't these types of questions be asked, why does he have a spokesman screaming at viewers on TV. We have numbers attributed to the Stimulus, numbers from the DOL, numbers from the Congressional Budget Office, etc. upon which to rate the President's performance. But, nothing upon which to rate Gov. Romney's performance. How do voters contrast/compare and make an informed decision? And why does his spokesman think that screaming is appropriate? Screaming belittles the political process, insults voters, distracts from the debate, and destroys a candidate. My vote deserves more than this.
Jim54, I agree with your assessment. I propose that one reason Mr. Spicer behaved so badly is that the political discussion and logic SCARES him and he has no other recourse except to change the subject by becoming hysterical! Facts are facts. President Obama is intelligent, calm, focused despite the fact that for over 3 years he has been ATTACKED by the GOP with lies and more lies! Romney and his mouthpieces can't even hold up under one season of campaigning for what is the highest office in our nation. It's clear to the casual observer who hasn't been brainwashed by FAUX TV or right-wing talk radio propaganda, that President Obama is up to the job for 4 more years but Romney is not the right man for this serious job. Romney employs too much secrecy, too many lies, too many inconsistencies, and a bad attitude toward the 98%ers that are NOT his base, as evidenced by his insults to the NAACP group. The GOP campaign reeks of special interests of the top 2% privileged few that likely haven't got a clue what life in America is like today. The chasm between how their lives are lived and the rest of Americans' daily concerns is so wide that only the most evolved could relate! I fear Romney is not that evolved. It appears it's too easy for him to live off the suffering, sweat and backs of folks who used to have a job in America but whose companies he bought, chopped up, and sold off to make his money. About that, where is all that money and why is it offshore like the jobs? Because even at 15% capital gains taxes on investments, he thinks he pays too much to be an American! That's just not right when teachers, policemen, firemen, and ordinary workers pay twice that much on their small incomes. I say vote FOR OBAMA 2012!
