For weeks, the spotlight has shone brightly on Gov. Romney’s time spent at Bain Capital and the specific question of when he officially left the company. Romney Campaign Communications Director Gail Gitcho joins Luke to discuss the ongoing debate.
MSNBC’s own Chris Hayes recently spoke with a former Romney partner at Bain Capital, who says that Romney was “legally the chief executive at Bain until 2002.”

And to respond to Ms. Gitcho’s comment about how “no-one is shopping or
eating dinner and wondering about Romney’s tax return”….
You are right; I really don’t give a damn about his tax return. I DO care about why he is “HIDING” them…..You
see, I do NOT want a president who has Swiss bank accounts, or lies about
something as dumb as when you left a job.
Because these are BIG INDICATORS about how you will act, say you want to
send our army into another war and NEED the American people to BELIEVE the
words coming out of your mouth are true and will be the same tomorrow!
If you lie about one thing, you will lie about something else. And Mitt Romney has shown he is "GREAT" at lying. If you can release 23 years to John McCain because you want to be Vice President, but don't think the American people who you want to be their President deserve to see half of those 23 years McCain saw, 5 years, 6 years, or 12 like his father did. What is Mitt Romney hiding?
I just watched the clip. I was a big fan of Tim Russert. His way of staying calm and allowing(for the most part) to ask the right questions and allow his interviewees enough rope to either hang themselves or clarify talking points were very enjoyable to watch. However Luke not to armchair quarterback this one but it seems you might want to take a page or two from your dad's playbook. A few examples:
After you questioned her on why many in the republican camp are now saying show the tax returns she fired back saying it was only Obama's team that wants to see this..you should have fired back saying now it isn't just Obama and the dems to bring her back to point..but you gave her so much slack that she took control...and you never got it back..
For the first 4+ minutes of this interview every question you asked(2 I believe) not only was not answered in the framework you asked, but she totally took over the segment by steering to Obama this and Obama that ..Then when you seemed to finally try to reel her back in she rolled over you to steer it to her outsourcing agenda. She walked all over you to say it bluntly. And she is a hack to boot. How did you lose control of this piece?? It should have been a slamdunk.
I have heard her in other interviews, and she is generally very very bad when under direct fire...she gets lost in a thought and has even "misspoke" at times. But the way this interview went it seems like you just phoned in your part Luke..almost like you wanted her to look good...instead of nailing her like so many others have done as she is a easy mark(google her interviews for those reading this you will see what I mean).. I just don't know what else to say, except you might want to google some of your dad's videos on youtube.

I am sick of the anti-Romney "Bain=Felony" attack manufactured by the Obama campaign. The USA has suffered under the NO private sector clueless Obama administration. I WANT a POTUS that understands business,the economy and has cooperative private and public sector CEO experience.Furthermore, Romney EARNED his OWN wealth.I don't worry about Romney making special Rezko like deals,picking the taxpayers pocket to stay in office,payoff cronies or take what was not earned.My vote will be to Dump Obamanomics and every House and Senate Democrat on Election Day!
IF Romney had any funny IRS info,I'm sure the Obama machine would've already exposed it.Unlike the Obama executive branch fiat that treats compliance with the rule of law as some pick n' choose buffet line,Romney is in compliance with FEC IRS disclosure requirements,I'm satisfied.
All Mitt Romney have to do is release his tax returns and if there is nothing there, then he would shut everybody up, won't he. But he refuse to release them, why is that? What is he hiding. His wife said "you people" don't deserve to see their taxes. Okay, November 6th "we the people" will show the Romneys they don't deserve to be in the White House.
OK Romney let's step up to your dad's standard and release the last 12 years of income tax records. And what is it that you set up in the Cayman islands and how much money exactly did you funnel into swiss bank accounts to avoid paying income tax. TYou're a business mana religious man why can't you come clean and show us what you're made of. You have no platform but Paul Ryan and the tea party. Don't you have any ideas save loying about the President. Why don't you talk about President Bush's inhereitance why don't you talk about Mitch Mc Conell and Speaker Boehners preferances to let the country fail so the President will fail.
