They're called swing states for a reason - the electorate in certain states is simply more volatile than it is in others. In each swing state, there are particular swing counties that tend to mirror the state's final tally. For instance, when President Obama turned Florida from "red" to "blue" in 2008, he did it by flipping voters along the I-4 corridor.
In counties like Hillsborough County, which voted for President Bush by 31,000 votes in 2004, voters backed President Obama by nearly the same margin in 2008.
Check out the red to blue swing in three of the most critical counties in the country... then watch Chuck's battleground breakdown to find out why FLOHVA is the most important (fake) word for the campaigns.

The Daily Rundown's Chuck Todd breaks out the newest decision app, and takes an in-depth look at FLOHVA - Florida, Ohio and Virginia - counties that have switched party favor over time.

How did you interview Dennis Hastert without asking him about the Corporate Crime Wave during the George W. Bush nightmare?
I just went through your blog and it's astounding the number of comments you have...or rather don't have. Why is that? Are you blog posts irrelevant? Poorly written? Boring? For a national show to have a blog with so little comments indicates something you should be worried about. BTW, I asked Chuck Todd on Twitter where/when he graduated from college? Degree? Major? Post Grad? I've heard that Chuck is a college drop out. I would like Chuck to confirm/deny this. If it is true, I wonder why NBC would hire someone lacking a basic requirement for the position in which he holds.

Chuck,
I thought you might enjoy the next BLATHERING of Psycho BIGOT Erick Erickson,(Redstate) supposedly retracting the over the top crud he wrote about you yesterday. This bloated OAF has a one note AGENDA, he shoves his hate towards gays into EVERY issue.
"
This is why the public is losing faith in government and the media. The public does not trust what the media reports. The public does not trust that the media relates to them or their values. The public does not trust that the press is not a collaborator with the political class. A majority of Americans consistently reject gay marriage and the majority of the mainstream media portrays them as troglodyte bigots. A majority of Americans are suspicious of much of what they hear from the political press these days, but the political press would rather ridicule the skeptical news consumers than explain what’s going on."

Ironically Erickson began this column bringing up the movie Psycho....he could have ended the sentence THERE.
