Both campaigns are bringing out their heavy hitting foreign policy teams to shape reaction to tonight’s debate.

The post-debate spinners for the Obama campaign will include 2004 presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry (D-MA), the Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman who played the role of Romney in Obama’s debate prep, 2004 presidential candidate Gen. Wesley Clark (Ret.) and Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden (D), son of Vice President Biden and an Iraq war veteran.

For the Romney campaign, the list includes 2008 presidential candidate and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the country’s first Homeland Security Secy. and former Gov. Tom Ridge (R-PA), and Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH), who played Obama in Romney’s debate prep.

shame on you @chucktodd for saying that concerns about voting machine fraud belong in the 'same category as the trump birther garbage' you are marginalizing a very legitimate threat to the validity of our elections process. there are over 10 years worth of testimonies, independent studies and physical proof that electronic voting machines can be easily hacked and their totals manipulated; to suggest otherwise implies that you are either an uninformed or uncurious journalist (both bad) OR you are a willing actor in the misinformation campaign and cover up of these facts. Here is just a short list of evidence proving that electronic voting is susceptible to fraud and has been used to illegally change the outcomes of elections in this country

seems they won't let me post a direct link in the comment section but bradblog.com has been uncovering the truth about fraud in the e-voting world for more than 10 years now-- I encourage everyone (including chuck todd) to check out the site and learn about the dangers of letting private corporations count our votes with no public oversight or paper trail to follow. This is a real threat to our democracy and to call it 'conspiracy garbage' is irresponsible, reckless and dishonest.
Chuck, can't you get a non-senile Republican spinner to replace John Sununu? He's among the worst of the slanderers, the birthers, etc. Giving the worst of the worst more air time isn't helping our democracy and isn't being "fair and balanced." Use some journalistic discretion for Pete's sake.
Heilman asked you if the audacity of Etch is enough for Romney to win. Your answer referring back to the first debate seemed disconnected. You rarely take a stand giving the impression you're aq Republican mugwump. Afraid to commit but a died in the wool conservative. You are never positive about President Obama and are always looking for the Republican leg up. I wonder why you're holding back. Can't you just let you be you and let the chips fall? Maybe not. Excellent job you have there. Congrats and keep up the good reporting. Cudos my friend!
